Amy proposed building her bridge with books. We found an experiment in book brick building in Venezia. The proprietor referred to this construction as his fire escape; in caseof fire you climb it, jump over the garden wall into the canal.
Ahh, very cool! Unless the books catch on fire...were the books wet? It looks like he bound them in groups, what did he use to bind them all together? Did they sink when you stepped on them? I'd love to see this! I didn't think about making the ground floor out of books as well.
With time, this'll become a paper-mache wonderland.
