Site 1 is situated within a denser housing district of Venice along the Canale di Cannaregio, which is one of the larger canals in the city. The site is between a long strip of canal that does not allow for passage across the water.
Intervening with a forcola (oar lock) workshop and gallery, which grafts to the Davide Canever Conservazione Opere d'Arte spanning to the Hotel Hesperia across the canal, a joint between local tradition and tourism can be made, activating the area and creating more accessible passage across the canal
