Historical commemoration of St. Agatha - Reenactment in Arzignano Castle - Vicenza

HISTORICAL COMMEMORATION OF ST. AGATHA - REENACTMENT IN ARZIGNANO CASTLE - VICENZA

With this historical commemoration the Village of Arzignano annually renews its vow to St. Agatha of 1413 when, on the day of St. Agatha, the Hungarian troops finally gave up the siege and left the Castle.
At Arzignano Castle, Piazzale Vittoria, 13 36071 Arzignano

On Sunday, February 9th:
9:15 a.m.: Votive Procession with fifteenth century original suits, departure from Rocca di Castello, flag-waving and drums.
10:00 a.m.: Opening Medieval Market
2:00 p.m.: Handicraft Show and market, food and wine of the area
2:30 p.m.: The Middle Age in the square: Animation Shows
4:00 p.m.: Surprise for children
6:30 p.m.: Fireworks
7:00 p.m.: Kiss of Relic and Vespers

From 2:00 p.m. Free Rocca of the Castle guided tour in Italian.

  2. This sounds amazing...only how the heck do we get out there?

    1. It requires riding a FTV regional bus. They leave from the bus station by the train station. I think tickets are 3 euro each way. You buy them from the news stand in the station. Bus leaves at 830, Lane 7 (I'm pretty sure). Last one back leaves at 1850.
