P1X3

Proposal: A bicycle store located at the intersection of the old wall and one of the heaviest bicycle routes in Vicenza. The intervention will expand from the wall on the East side and wrap around the wall; this will allow bicyclists to enter from the north side and be redirected back to the main cycling route. Spaces which overlap the wall will consist of a transparent material to showcase the wall. The doubling of materials depicts a transition between the old and new city.

A perspective showing the beginnings of the intervention on the East side.

The site within the city is indicated by the red dot. It is at the intersection one of the most heavily used bicycle routes which runs North-South through Vicenza.

Site plan showing the cyclist and pedestrian circulation around the wall.

The location of the site, East of the intersection of Viale Bartolomeo D'Alviano e Viale B. D'Alviano.
