Venezia " A 1539 old city composed of Bridges, Islands and Architecture"

The city of Venice founded in 421 AD on March 25th is today composed of 118 islands, 177 canals, and 409 bridges. This map shows the different scales in canals that compose the city.

Here is an understanding of how Venice is possible to be stable above water. Large timber frames are driven through the mud and water long with stone and brick. The wood doesn't rot because its not exposed to oxygen since its covered by mud containing minerals and nutrients the harden and strength the wood similar to a stone structure.
