One of the most noticeable boundaries in every site is the canal. However the edges become blurry once it floods. What this bridge is trying to do for Venice is to celebrate the dwindling of the boundary that occurs as the water level rises. The bridge itself will act as a clear boundary between two sides of the canal (creating a wall?), however, a goal is to also graft onto the fabric of both sides of the site and intertwine it with the bridge blurring the "boundaries of the bridge and the fabric"...
