Venice analysis

The location of site two lies on the north side of the island, which has a direct opening to the Canale delle Fondamente Nuove. It also allows for the bridge to have a direct impact with the buildings on the east side of the canal. Leading up to the bridge will be the small plaza, that gives people a public space to pause at before or after crossing the bridge. 

In order to provide for the community, I would like to install a self service fueling station for the motorized boats. As boats enter or exit the canal they will have an easily accessible fueling spot where they can also stop at the convenience store attached to it. The goal is to turn it into a community spot where the seamonkies go to fuel up while residents go to buy maybe a pack of cigarettes or a drink from the convenience store. The nearby marina, does provide a fueling dock, however the only people you will find there are those with boats. By having one in the canal, they will help unify the community.
